Unlock the power of words
English is all you need: from gaming, to the news. Television series and films. Even ticking all the boxes when applying for a job. Students use English in many different contexts, both in and out of education. They even incorporate English words whilst speaking in their mother tongue. But is there a backlash to this? Sadly, many languages risk alienation and many powerful words are being disused.
That’s why we decided to remind students of the power of words, unveiling the great meanings of many terms they regularly ignore.
And we made it possible through a partnership with a go-to brand for our target audience: IKEA. Students won’t ever again look at a “Drömmare” and see just a mirror, and a “Gladelig” won’t be just a mug anymore!
